IVC Before and After Surgery

Vitamin C plays a crucial role in the formation of collagen, a major component of our connective tissue. Collagen is found in skin, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, bones, blood vessels, intestines, spinal discs, corneas and muscles.

In any episode of trauma, including planned surgery, tissues are damaged. During repair collagen must be formed – so an abundant supply of vitamin C is needed.

Vitamin C is also important in the proper functioning of the immune system. Surgery and anaesthesia cause physical stress and this may have adverse effects on the immune system.

IVC Infusions after emergency surgery can help with recovery.  If surgery is planned you can benefit from one or two infusions before as well as after surgery.
