Latest Covid-19 Information
LIMITED FACE-TO-FACE CONSULTATIONS NOW AVAILABLE - PLEASE CALL TO BOOK. Video and Phone consults can be booked via patient portal or calling.
On Wednesday the 13th of May New Zealand moved in to COVID-19 Alert Level 2.
Thursday 14 May was a significant step towards usual routines for most New Zealanders. At Dodson Medical we need to continue to follow infection control guidelines to keep you, our staff and our community safe.
Most consultations continue to be over the phone (or by videoconference using Doxy.me). GPs will determine who needs to come in for a face to face consultation. This is to minimise the number of patients in the clinic at any time.
The Ministry of Health and the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners have advised us to maintain physical distancing to stop any risk of COVID-19 spreading by person-to-person contact.
Feedback from patients during Level 4 and 3 is that they have enjoyed the convenience and accessibility of our telehealth services.
We are happy to see patients in the clinic during Level 2 when needed. Please call to book a face to face consultation. Please do not arrive without an appointment.
Asking for help and advice is okay. It’s important to talk with a health professional if you feel you are unwell or if your mental wellbeing is at risk.
Please contact us for any medical concerns:
- medical emergencies and ACC consults
- chronic care management
- treatment of common illnesses
- mental health concerns
Please follow the below guidelines
- Do not come to the clinic unless you have a booked appointment
- If you have been given a face-to-face appointment please arrive on time as we have to restrict those in the waiting room. Please wait in your car and txt the patients name 0204865482 to announce your arrival and staff will advise when to come in.
- If you arrive on foot please come through the back door and use hand sanitiser, place a mask on and enter the building. Advise reception you are here and take a seat.

We are here to help.
